Warehouse Assistant/DriverA warehouse assistant is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create all paperwork required for customer shipments (packing slips, bill of lading, bar codes, etc.)
- Pull, pack and ship part orders for delivery
- Deliver part orders to customers and pick up orders from vendors
- Receive customer and vendor PO or non PO orders into the MRP system
- Accept deliveries of company products and store them accordingly
- Inspect all orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts and missing items
- Report to warehouse supervisor or manager of any issues with receiving or shipping
Complete hardness and conductivity testing on materials - Part mark parts
- Issue material to jobs
- Operate a forklift or other heavy machinery required for transporting large orders and heavy products
- Unload trucks of material, parts and products
- Ensure materials and products are stocked in the correct location
- Keep warehouse area clean and organized
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possesses strong organization skills
- Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors and defective orders
- Maintains physical stamina and strength
- Works well with others
- Exhibits strong communication skills
- Knowledge of MRP system
- Valid driver’s license
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Must be certified to operate forklifts
- At least one year of experience working in a warehouse
